High school scoreboard: Hanson leads North Hall boys to 58-43 win

Taylor Hanson scored 19 points for the North Hall High boys basketball team in a 58-43 win against Franklin County on Monday in Cleveland. Noah Holman chipped in 15 points for the Trojans (1-0), who face Coahulla Creek at 4:30 p.m. today in Gainesville.

FRANKLIN COUNTY GIRLS 61, NORTH HALL 52: Ansleigh Ferguson scored 18 points with nine rebounds in the Lady Trojans’ season opener. North Hall returns to action against Coahulla Creek at 3 p.m. today in Gainesville.

LAKEVIEW ACADEMY BOYS 72, RABUN COUNTY 47: Griffin Sewell and Drew Cottrell had 20 points apiece for the Lions in the Piedmont College Hardwood Classic on Monday in Demorest. Adam Cottrell contributed 11 points for the Lions (1-1).

Lakeview Academy plays Norcross in the Piedmont College Hardwood Classic at 5:30 p.m. today in Demorest.

RABUN COUNTY GIRLS 62, LAKEVIEW ACADEMY 52: Maddy Towles scored 12 points for the Lady Lions, while Jackie Allen finished the night with 10 points Monday.

Lakeview Academy plays Norcross at 4 p.m. today in the Piedmont Classic.

DAWSON COUNTY GIRLS 73, DUNWOODY 30: Kaylee Sticker scored a team-high 24 points for the Lady Tigers on Monday in Dunwoody. Anna Lowe added 10 points for the Lady Tigers (2-0).

Dawson County faces Lanier at 6 p.m. today in the championship of the Tiger Classic in Dawsonville.

DAWSON COUNTY 58, DUNWOODY 46: Jeremiah Crumley led Dawson County with 20 points and had five assists on Monday. Cullen Reed contributed 15 points, grabbed six rebounds and had five assists for the Tigers. Campbell Reed totalled 11 points for Dawson County, while teammate Ryan Gallenkamp finished the night with 10 rebounds.

Dawson County faces Collins Hill at 7:30 p.m. today in the Tiger Tipoff Classic championship in Dawsonville.
