East Hall’s Jayvion Rucker and D.J. Gray each scored 11 points in a 82-59 win against Chestatee on Saturday in Gainesville. Luke Cooper finished with 10 points for the Vikings (10-7, 5-1 Region 7-3A). Qua Butler, Sedrion Morse and T.J. Campbell all had nine points for East Hall.
Trailing 15-5 early, the Vikings rallied to take a 35-30 lead into halftime. East Hall outscored Chestatee 47-29 in the second half.
On Monday, East Hall faces Eagles Landing Christian Academy in the MLK Classic at 11:20 a.m. at Morehouse College in Atlanta.
EAST HALL GIRLS 63, CHESTATEE 51: Carly Winters scored 14 points and Jenny Lopez added 12 for the Lady Vikings (11-8, 4-2 Region 7-3A) on Saturday in Gainesville. Maggie Griffin finished with eight points for East Hall, while Tessa Rider and Ivey Shadburn each chipped in seven points. On Tuesday, East Hall visits North Hall at 6 p.m.
LAKEVIEW ACADEMY GIRLS 55, TOWNS COUNTY 44: Sadie Thrailkill finished with 20 points, 13 rebounds and five steals for the Lakeview Academy girls against Towns County on Saturday. Tori Taylor hit five 3-pointers and finished with 15 points and eight rebounds for the Lady Lions (10-7, 6-1 Region 8-A).
On Tuesday, Lakeview Academy visits Hebron Christian at 6 p.m. in Dacula.
LAKEVIEW ACADEMY BOYS 81, TOWNS COUNTY 56: Jack Blackburn finished with 20 points and eight assists for the Lions on Saturday. Blake McIntyre chipped in 19 points with six assists, while Arturo Varela had 12 points and 10 rebounds for Lakeview Academy (11-5, 8-0 Region 8-A).
On Monday, Lakeview Academy faces Jenkins-Savannah at 4:30 p.m. in the MLK Showcase at Peachtree Ridge High in Suwanee.
FLOWERY BRANCH GIRLS 63, CEDAR SHOALS 32: Caroline Wysocki scored 15 points and Ashley Scott finished with 13 for the Lady Falcons on Saturday. Ashlee Locke chipped in 10 points for Flowery Branch.
On Tuesday, Flowery Branch hosts Cedar Shoals at 6 p.m.
BANKS COUNTY GIRLS 76, OGLETHORPE COUNTY 25: Jaycie Bowen scored 17 points with nine rebounds for the Lady Leopards (16-3, 6-0 Region 8-AA) on Saturday. Allison Smith scored 14 points for Banks County, while Amber Williams added 10 points and seven rebounds.
