After just one season, Johnson High boys basketball coach Tyler Whitlock will be moving on.
Whitlock is stepping down from his position at the end of the current school year, Knights athletic director Jonathan Edwards announced Tuesday, March 13. The Knights were 7-19 and finished with a winless mark in a brutal Region 8-5A slate under Whitlock, who informed Edwards he will be accepting a position in another school district. Edwards expressed well wishes for Whitlock and his family during this transition.
Johnson has not had a winning season since 2015, during which the Knights went 29-1 and made a state quarterfinal appearance with Jeff Steele at the helm.
