High school basketball scoreboard: Caroline Wysocki tops 1,000 points for career milestone as Flowery Branch girls cruise to region win

Flowery Branch’s Caroline Wysocki crossed the 1,000 points mark for her career in a 71-29 win against Blessed Trinity on Friday in Roswell. Wysocki finished with a game-high 21 points for the Lady Falcons (18-3, 8-0 Region 7-4A).

Also for the Flowery Branch, Ashlee Locke scored 13 points, while Ashley Scott and Ashley Woodroffe added 12 and 11 points, respectively. 

Flowery Branch continues region play against Marist at 6 p.m. today in Atlanta. 

BUFORD GIRLS 59, WALNUT GROVE 23: Preston Reid finished with 10 points for the Lady Wolves (6-0 Region 8-5A), followed by Sara Viti who hit three 3-pointers to finished with nine points. 

Buford will host Westlake, the defending state champions, in the school’s old gym at 1 p.m. today.

LAKEVIEW ACADEMY GIRLS 63, PROVIDENCE CHRISTIAN 34: The Lady Lions were led by Joelle Snyder with 21 points. Eliza Snyder added 15 points with five rebounds for the Lady Lions, while Jackie Allen and Maddy Towles each scored 10 points.  

Lakeview Academy faces Towns County at 6 p.m. Tuesday in Hiawassee. 

LAKEVIEW ACADEMY BOYS 76, PROVIDENCE CHRISTIAN 41: Adam Cottrell finished with a team-high 23 points and seven steals for the Lions (15-5, 6-0 Region 8-A). Also for Lakeview Academy, Holden Cooper (six steals), Blake McIntyre and KJ Millwood (seven rebounds) all scored 11 points. 

Lakeview Academy boys will face Wesleyan in the BCB MLK Showcase at 1:30 p.m. on Monday at Peachtree Ridge High in Suwanee. 

DAWSON COUNTY GIRLS 84, DENMARK 20: Kaylee Sticker had a team-high 22 points for the Lady Tigers (14-7, 5-3 Region 7-3A). Also chipping in, Maddie Anglin and Ella Siuta tallied 16 points each. 

Dawson county visits North Hall at 6 p.m. on Tuesday. 

LANIER CHRISTIAN ACADEMY BOYS 69, WESTMINISTER 46: Tommy Wandrum led the Lightning with 14 points, three assists and three steals. Also for Lanier Christian (14-6), Joseph Edwards scored 13 points and Trevin Last chipped in 12. 

Lanier Christian visits Praise Academy at 7 p.m. on Tuesday in Powder Springs.

FIDELES CHRISTIAN ACADEMY GIRLS 56, LANIER CHRISTIAN ACADEMY 44: Madison Hughes finished with a double-double picking up 20 points and 16 rebounds for the Lady Lightning (11-8). Ashley Avery and Hollie Beussee each had six points. 

On Tuesday, Lanier Christian visits Praise Academy for a 6 p.m. tipoff.

BANKS COUNTY BOYS 62, RABUN COUNTY 51: Carl Cleveland led the way for the Leopards (12-8, 7-2 Region 8-2A), scoring 28 points and grabbing nine rebounds. Wes Ledford added nine points and four boards, and Clay Gosnell scored seven points while dishing four assists.

Banks County will be back in action on Tuesday when it takes on Monticello.
