High school basketball scoreboard: Ansleigh Ferguson notches double-double in North Hall girls win over Fannin County

Ansleigh Ferguson finished with a 13 point, 11 rebound double-double in a 58-44 North Hall victory over Fannin County on Tuesday. Leading the Lady Trojans was Grace Hollifield with 17 points, while Ansley Smallwood added 11 points for the North Hall girls (14-6, 6-2 Region 7-3A). 

On Friday, North Hall hosts Greater Atlanta Christian for a 6 p.m. tipoff. 

NORTH HALL BOYS 44, FANNIN COUNTY 23: Luke Gunter finished with 13 points. Also for the Trojans (10-11, 5-3 Region 7-3A), Daniel Jackson scored eight points. 

North Hall will be back in action on Friday against Greater Atlanta Christian at 7:30 p.m.

LAKEVIEW ACADEMY BOYS 57, PRINCE AVENUE CHRISTIAN 56: Arturo Varela scored 21 points and grabbed six rebounds to lead the Lions (14-5, 5-0 Region 8-A) to the narrow win. 

Adam Cottrell added 19 points with eight boards and five assists, and Blake McIntyre contributed eight assists and three steals.

Lakeview Academy will take on Providence Friday night at home at 8:30. 

LAKEVIEW ACADEMY GIRLS 60, PRINCE AVENUE CHRISTIAN 47: Eliza Snyder finished with a team-high 19 points and five steals for the Lady Lions (16-4, 5-0 Region 8-A). Also in double-figures, Jackie Allen scored 17 points, while Sadie Thrailkill gathered 12 points, seven assists and four steals. 

Lakeview Academy plays Providence Christian Academy at 7 p.m. on Friday in Lilburn.  

LANIER GIRLS 65, GAINESVILLE 60: The Lady Red Elephants (10-7, 3-2 Region 8-6A) were led by Tija Blackwell with 20 points, followed by Tia Shelton with 19.

Next up, Gainesville hosts Habersham Central at 7 p.m. on Friday. 

LANIER BOYS 78, GAINESVILLE 77: Rafael Rubel had 19 points for the Red Elephants on Tuesday. Also for Gainesville (12-9, 4-2 Region 8-6A), Brent Kelly scored 17 points, while Robert Reisman had 12. 

Gainesville faces Habersham Central at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. 

LUMPKIN COUNTY GIRLS 67, EAST HALL 41: Ivey Shadburn scored 13 points, while Alexis Burce scored 12 for the Lady Vikings (8-13, 2-6 Region 7-3A). 

On Friday, East Hall hosts Cherokee Bluff at 7 p.m. 

BUFORD GIRLS 80, CLARKE CENTRAL 44: Tate Walters finished with a game-high 18 points for the Lady Wolves. Also chipping in, Preston Reid scored 14 points, while Casey Jones had 11. 

Buford visits Walnut Grove at 6 p.m. on Friday. 

BANKS COUNTY BOYS 82, PUTNAM COUNTY 33: Pierce Martin hit 10 3-pointers to finish with 30 points and 6 boards. Also for the Leopards (11-8, 6-2 Region 8-2A), Carl Cleveland had 14 points and a team-high 21 rebounds, while Wes Ledford scored 11 points and picked up four boards. 

Banks County visits Rabun County at 8 p.m. on Friday. 

GREATER ATLANTA CHRISTIAN 53, DAWSON COUNTY 41: The Lady Tigers (13-7, 5-3 Region 7-3A) were led by Kaylee Sticker with 19 points, followed by Marlie Townley and Sophia D’Oliveira with six each.

Dawson County takes on Denmark at 7 p.m. on Friday in Alpharetta.  

LANIER CHRISTIAN ACADEMY GIRLS 47, YOUNG AMERICANS CHRISTIAN ACADEMY 18: Madison Hughes led the way for the Lady Lightning with 11 points. Reece Montgomery, Loganne Wilson and Faith Wasden chipped in eight points each. 

Lanier Christian Academy will be back in action on Thursday when it takes on Greater Atlanta Adventist Academy at 6:30 p.m.
