All games and evening activities of Hall County Schools and all Gainesville City School System games have been canceled because of potential freezing rain and snow Tuesday evening.

High schools and middle schools are affected by the cancellation. Gordon Higgins, athletic director for Hall schools, announced the changes just after 11 a.m. Tuesday.

Citing a weather briefing from Hall County emergency managers and the possibility of freezing rain and snow, Higgins said Tuesday evening games would be rescheduled.

Gainesville practices will take place as scheduled, but all competitions have been canceled on Tuesday, according to Gainesville City School System Superintendent Jeremy Williams.
