Georgia Tech freshman Iman Shumpert was named Atlantic Coast Conference Rookie of the Week on Monday.
Shumpert averaged 16 points and 9 assists in two games last week. He scored 14 points and had 12 assists in the Yellow Jackets’ 85-83 loss to Penn State, then scored a season-high 18 points in the Georgia Tech’s 63-51 win against Vanderbilt on Saturday.
Shumpert is averaging 12.7 points per game this season and ranks second in the ACC with six assists per game.
