Tech defensive end Cross to play in Shrine Game

Georgia Tech defensive end and Flowery Branch graduate Izaan Cross has accepted an invitation to play in the 88th-annual East-West Shrine Game at 4 p.m. January 19 at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Fla., according to an organization announcement on Thursday. The game benefits Shriners Hospitals for Children and will be aired on NFL Network. Cross joins an elite list of football greats, such as John Elway, Tom Brady, Brett Favre, and 62 NFL Hall of Famers, who have played in the East-West Shrine Game along with 52 players currently on active NFL rosters.
