ATLANTA — Tennessee State set an NCAA women's Division I record for fewest points in a game in an 82-11 loss at Georgia Tech.

The Tigers, according to STATS LLC, also tied another record they scored just three points in the opening half Thursday night.

The previous record for fewest points scored in a game between Division I teams was 16 by Texas Southern on Dec. 30, 2002, against TCU.

Georgia Tech led 49-3 at halftime after Tennessee State went 0 for 24 from the field in the first half. The Tigers shot 6 percent (3 for 50) for the game, including 0 for 13 from 3-point range, and went 5 for 10 from the free-throw line.

Jasmine Brimm led the Tigers with six points on 1-of-8 shooting from the field and 4 of 6 from the free-throw line.
