Georgia Tech senior center Sasha Goodlett was selected 11th overall by the Indiana Fever in the first round of the WNBA Draft held Monday at ESPN Headquarters in Bristol, Conn.
Goodlett is the seventh Georgia Tech player drafted and the fifth under coach MaChelle Joseph. Goodlett is the second Yellow Jacket drafted in the first round of the WNBA Draft.
Goodlett finished her career at Georgia Tech ranked among the school’s career leaders in points scored (10th, 1,364), rebounds (ninth, 760) and blocked shots (fifth, 127).
During her final campaign, Goodlett earned All-ACC second team and ACC All-Tournament first team accolades as she helped the Jackets to 12 ACC wins and 26 overall wins, both program bests. The Yellow Jackets played in the ACC Championship Game for only the second time in school history and advanced to Tech’s first Sweet 16.
