Georgia Tech held off a late rally to defeat Boston College 5-4 on Friday at Russ Chandler Stadium in Atlanta.

Boston College scored a pair of unearned runs in the eighth inning, but could not complete the rally after Andrew Robinson and North Hall grad Zach Brewster struck out the remaining hitters in the inning for the sixth-ranked Yellow Jackets (12-1, 4-0 ACC)

Deck McGuire picked up his fourth win of the season, allowing two unearned runs in seven innings.

Georgia Tech and Boston College continue their series at 2 p.m. today in Atlanta.
