ATLANTA — Brigitte Ardossi had 17 points and 11 rebounds to lead No. 24 Georgia Tech to a 62-50 victory over Georgia State on Tuesday.
Sasha Goodlett added 16 points and Mo Bennett scored 10 for Georgia Tech, which won despite shooting 35.7 percent. The Yellow Jackets (10-2) held Georgia State to 32.8 percent.
Danyiell McKellar scored 14 for Georgia State (7-2), but was just 5 of 23 from the field while reaching 1,000 points for her career. Angelique Burtts added 13 points.
Georgia Tech won its 11th straight over city foe Georgia State.
Georgia State only trailed 44-42 with five minutes left, but Georgia Tech went on a 12-1 run to take control.
Georgia Tech led 31-26 at halftime behind 11 points by Ardossi.
Georgia State was without Chan Harris, the team's leading rebounder, who learned Tuesday she'll be out for the season with a broken right foot.
