ATLANTA —  Georgia coach Mark Richt would not say Sunday if he has filed a complaint to the Southeastern Conference about the hit by an Auburn player that knocked Georgia quarterback Aaron Murray out of Saturday's game.

Richt also would not answer questions about Murray's health. Murray had to be helped from the field and did not return after Auburn's Nick Fairley hit the quarterback's knee in the Tigers' 49-31 win on Saturday.

Fairley was penalized for a late hit on Murray earlier in the game.

When asked about Murray's injury, Richt said "I'm not going to talk about injuries ... just going to hold off on that."

The play that knocked Murray out of the game preceded skirmishes that resulted in the ejections of Auburn's Mike Blanc and Michael Goggans, who threw punches.

Asked if he sent film to the SEC of the hits on Murray or other events late in the game, Richt said it was "another subject I'm not going to make a comment on right now."

Richt said he had not been contacted by Auburn coach Gene Chizik on Sunday to discuss the plays.

"No, but I don't really expect him to," Richt said. "I know our guys were highly emotionally charged, also. I'm not going to sit here and try to say their guys were doing one thing and our guys were doing another."

Added Richt: "I know he's a man of integrity. He doesn't need to do that on my account."

Chizik, asked about Fairley's hit that knocked Murray out of the game, said "That's not what we do here."

"Everything we're going to do is with effort, with great effort," Chizik said Sunday. "Are we going to make a mistake here and there with an intensive effort? Yes. That's going to happen because it's human error. But I can assure you certainly nothing is ever done intentionally to harm another player. That's not happening."

Richt said after the game he didn't think Murray suffered structural damage to his knee. He usually offers injury updates in his Sunday teleconferences with reporters.

Georgia cornerback Sanders Commings left in the third quarter with an injury to his right ankle and was on crutches on the sideline.

Georgia has an off week before playing Georgia Tech on Nov. 27.
