University of Georgia freshman tailback Knowshon Moreno has been named the Southeastern Conference Offensive Player of the Week.
Moreno, a 5-11, 207-pound native of Belford, N.J., tallied career highs of 188 rushing yards on 33 carries for three touchdowns during Georgia’s 42-30 win against No. 9 Florida in Jacksonville. In addition to averaging 5.7 yards per carry, Moreno also registered a pair of catches for 17 yards.
