Miller takes SEC award for 2nd straight week

Georgia women’s basketball player Khaalidah Miller earned her second straight Freshman of the Week honor from the Southeastern Conference on Monday.

Miller scored a career-high 24 points to lead the Lady Bulldogs to a 61-59 win at No. 10 Kentucky on Sunday in Georgia’s only game of the week.

The 5-foot-9 freshman from Douglass High connected on 10-of-14 shots from the field, including 4-of-5 from three-point range.

In two SEC games this season, Miller is averaging 19.5 points per game by hitting 62.5 percent of her shots from the floor and 81.8 (9-of-11) percent from three-point range.

Georgia visits Arkansas at 9 p.m. Thursday for a CSS regionally televised match up.
