GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Marshae Dotson scored 20 points, Sha Brooks added 15, and No. 19 Florida beat Georgia 61-45 on Sunday, ending a nine-game losing streak in the series.

The Gators (17-2, 3-1 Southeastern Conference) picked up their first win against the Bulldogs (11-7, 1-2) since 2004.

Georgia’s top two scorers, Ashley Houts and Angel Robinson, played much of the game in foul trouble. Houts scored five points and had seven of the team’s 23 turnovers. Robinson had seven points, eight rebounds and five turnovers. Both of them fouled out late.

The Gators trailed 31-30 early in the second half, but used a 24-6 run to take the lead for good. Steffi Sorensen hit three 3-pointers in the spurt. She was 4-of-9 shooting from behind the arc and finished with 12 points.
