Georgia senior free safety Bacarri Rambo has been named the Southeastern Conference Co-Defensive Player of the Week following the Bulldogs’ 42-10 rout of Georgia Tech.
Rambo tied Georgia’s mark for career interceptions with his 16th against the Yellow Jackets, which is tied for seventh all-time in SEC history. He also added eight tackles, two forced fumbles and a 49-yard fumble recovery return.
Rambo shared the award with South Carolina defensive end Jadeveon Clowney.
The No. 3 Bulldogs (11-1, 7-1 SEC) take on No. 2 Alabama (11-1, 7-1 SEC) in the SEC Championship Game at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta on Saturday. CBS will televise the matchup at 4 p.m.
