With a 2-1 win over North Carolina on Sunday at Jack Turner Stadium in Athens, the No. 10 overall seed University of Georgia softball team earned its sixth Regional championship to move on to the Super Regional round of the NCAA Division I Softball Championship. In its 11th-straight NCAA appearance, Georgia’s 2012 record improves to 44-15 while UNC finishes the season at 43-15.
