Rivals Georgia and Georgia Tech could be headed for an NIT men’s basketball matchup.

If each school wins its first game in the postseason tournament, the Bulldogs (19-14) and Yellow Jackets (17-15) would match up in the second round.

Georgia Tech hosts Indiana (18-15) at 9 p.m. Tuesday, while Georgia welcomes Belmont (22-6) at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Georgia defeated Georgia Tech 60-43 in the teams’ Dec. 20 matchup at McCamish Pavilion in Atlanta.
