University of Georgia defensive back Sanders Commings was given a two-game suspension to start the 2012 season by Bulldogs coach Mark Richt on Wednesday. The suspension came as a result of Commings' arrest Jan. 21 on charges of domestic violence.

Commings will miss Georgia's season-opener against Buffalo on Sept. 1 in Athens, followed by its Southeastern Conference opener Sept. 8 at Missouri.
