The University of Georgia and the University of Oregon have agreed to cancel plans for a two-game series scheduled for 2015 and 2016, Georgia announced Monday.

The games were to be played at Oregon in 2015 and Athens in 2016. The announcement stated the decision was mutual but did not give a reason for the cancellation.

Last week, during a radio interview on The Local Hour on 550 AM, new Georgia athletic director Greg McGarity said he intended to cut down the number of long road trips for the team.
