ORLANDO, Fla. — Georgia held its final practice for its Capital One Bowl game against Michigan State on Tuesday, and players then talked about the incentive for another 10-win season.
“We’re trying to get our 10th win this year and send our seniors out with their 40th win,” said quarterback Matthew Stafford.
The 16th-ranked Bulldogs (9-3) worked out for 90 minutes in shorts with temperatures in the 80s. It was their fifth workout since arriving in Orlando for Thursday’s game.
“We didn’t run into each other today as we get ready for the game,” said Georgia coach Mark Richt. “It’s been a pretty good week of practice and will be a good game.”
Georgia is trying to rebound from a 45-42 loss to Georgia Tech.
“Our last game left a bad taste in our mouth so we want to do like last year and come out with a bowl victory,” said defensive back Asher Allen. “You want to end the season on a good note and use that to energize you during spring and summer training for the next year.”
