G-Braves remain winless at home

The Gwinnett Braves fell 7-4 to the Norfolk Tides on Saturday at Gwinnett Stadium. Gwinnett (4-6) remains winless in their new home as the Tides improve to 5-4.

Norfolk right-hander Andy Mitchell (1-0) recorded his first win of the season, allowing one earned run on four hits in 2Ã relief innings. For Gwinnett, left-handed reliever Francisley Bueno falls to 1-1 after allowing four earned runs on four hits in 2Ã innings.

Gwinnett recorded more hits (11) than the Tides (9) for the second consecutive night, but was again unable to capitalize.

Gwinnett’s Wes Timmons was 4-for-5, but his three singles and one double resulted in just one RBI. Alvin Colina was 2-for-4 and Barbaro Canizares was 2-for-5 with an RBI. Brandon Jones also recorded an RBI for the Braves.
