Charlotte scored three runs in the first inning en route to a 9-4 win over the Gwinnett Braves on Sunday at Coolray Field.

The G-Braves (42-49) have lost their last five games, surrendering double-digit hits to their opponent in each of those contests.

Vladimir Nunez (0-1) was credited with the loss and allowed six runs (four earned) on seven hits in three innings.

Nate McLouth, who is on a rehab assignment, went 2-for-4, including a solo home run in the first. J.C. Boscan was 3-for-4 with two RBIs and a run scored for Gwinnett.

Charlotte starter Brandon Hynick earned his first win on the Triple-A level this season.

Gwinnett will be off from July 12-14 for the Triple-A All-Star Break. The Triple-A All-Star Game will take place Wednesday in Allentown, Pa. – home of the Lehigh Valley IronPigs.

The G-Braves return to action Thursday when they travel to Coca-Cola Field to take on the Buffalo Bisons in the first game of a four-game series. First pitch is at 7:05 p.m.
