Todd Redmon struck out five batters, but only lasted three innings as the Gwinnett Braves lost 6-0 to the Pawtucket Red Sox on Wednesday night at McCoy Stadium.
Gwinnett failed to record an extra-base hit on the evening and have dropped two games below .500.
After walking the first batter he faced, Redmond gave up a two-run home run to left fielder Daniel Nava that put the Paw Sox in front 2-0.
Desginated hitter Barbaro Canizares went 2-for-4, center fielder Gregor Blanco went 1-for-3 and left fielder Matt Young went 1-for-3 with a walk for Gwinnett (15-17).
Gwinnett faces off against Pawtucket in the final game of a four-game series at 12:15 p.m. today at McCoy Stadium.
