The North Hall Junior Trojans 11-and-under football program won the North Georgia Youth Football League championship and completed an unbeaten season, taking down Franklin County 14-6 in the title game on Nov. 20.

This is a group that has been largely intact since they were 6 year olds.

“Considering where we started with these boys, some 6 seasons ago, this year was all the more special,” Junior Trojans head coach, and local lawyer, Shane Lazenby said.  “Our first season, when these boys were just 6 years old, was quite the opposite. That season, we lost every game, and the scores weren’t even close.”

Over the next couple seasons, the Junior Trojans gradually improved to the point of winning seven games in 2020.

In 2021, North Hall Junior Trojans team members were Hayden Simmons, Noah Kemp, Levi Truelove, Sam Gundlach, Walker Vining, Grayson Sanchez, Jaxon VanPool, Cole Lindlief, Wynne Billingsley, Cullen Rogers, Ryan Sanders, Micah Thomas, Nathan Wood, Cullen Tyner, Miles Mensinger, Logan Tuggle, Kieran Canavan-Lima, Hudson Blair, Landon Clark, Gavin Green, Ander Chavez, David Rodriguez, Sawyer Lazenby, Landon Silva-Burtnett, Hanan Portillo Joab Bolton, Rock Carmell, Jay Newberry and Rhett Brown.
