Cherokee Bluff opens fast in 57-7 win against Johnson

Jayquan Smith had three first-quarter scoring runs for Cherokee Bluff as it topped Johnson 57-7 on Friday at Billy Ellis Memorial Stadium. 

Cherokee Bluff's senior running back scored on runs of 11, 15 and 1 yard. 

The Bears (1-0) finished with 254 passing yards and rushed for 223. 

Up next, Cherokee Bluff hosts Chestatee on Aug. 27. Johnson has a pair of bye weeks before hosting East Hall on Sept. 10.
