It took more than the usual four rounds of golf, but at the end of the day, the result was the same at the 2008 Club Championship at Royal Lakes Golf Course in Flowery Branch.

Chris England and Jared Cagle each had a four-day score of 217, forcing a playoff to decide the championship. In the three-hole aggregate playoff, England bested Cagle to claim his sixth consecutive club title.

Flowery Branch residents Rick Dresel (234), Floyd Weyenberg (235) and Sam McGee (237) rounded out the top five.

Judy Davies of Flowery Branch carded a four-day score of 280 to claim the club championship for the ladies.
