Eighth-inning double dooms G-Braves

The Gwinnett Braves dropped their series finale at Indianapolis on Tuesday, falling to the Indians, 6-4.

Indianapolis’ Brandon Moss provided the final margin with a two-out, two-run double double in the eighth inning to break up the tie game.

Chris Resop started for Gwinnett, but didn’t figure into the decision, striking out eight in five innings of work. Mariano Gomez took the loss after surrendering two runs in the eighth.

Brandon Hicks led the G-Braves at the plate, finishing 4-for-4 with a double and an RBI. Joe Thurston went 1-for-2 and hit his fourth home run of the season.

Gwinnett returns to action at 7:05 p.m. Thursday, travelling to take on Louisville.
