A new 15U baseball team is forming for the 2016-17 fall and spring seasons.

The 15U Tigers will have an open tryout at 10 a.m. on Aug. 13 at the Lakeview Academy baseball field at 796 Lakeview Drive in Gainesville.

The team will be coached by Scott Clackum, a former First-Team All-ACC and Second-Team All-American pitcher at Clemson University. Clackum was drafted in 1998 by the Florida Marlins.
