Six athletes from the Lanier Canoe and Kayak Club were named to Team USA, announced Friday. Four paddlers, Tim Hornsby, Chris Miller, Stanton Collins and Ian Ross, were named to the 2014 World Cup Team and will compete in World Cup 2 in Racice, Czech Republic and World Cup 3 in Szeged, Hungary. Hornsby won the men’s 200-meter kayak event at the National Team Trials in Oklahoma City, Miller and Collins won the men’s 100-meter K2 kayak event, and Ross won the men’s 1000-meter canoe event.
