North Hall golf's Kallab tied for 2nd after Day 1 of Georgia Club Junior Classic

North Hall High golfer Michael Kallab finished tied for second with a 3-over 75 at The Georgia Club Junior Classic, a Southeastern Junior Golf Tour event, on Monday in Statham.

Kallab is tied with two other players, which are just one stroke back of the leader, in the 14-15-year-old division of the event.

In the 16-19-year-old division, Gainesville High’s Davis Weaver is tied for eighth after an opening round of 2-over 74. Weaver trails the leader by three strokes.

In the same division, North Hall’s Brennan Manson shot a 12-over 84 to sit at 34th on the leaderboard.

HOGAN TIED FOR 4TH AT PGA JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP: Gainesville High’s Ryan Hogan shot a 1-under 71 Monday at the to sit four back of the leader at Jennings Mill Country Club in Athens.

Caden McLaughlin of Flowery Branch shot an 8-over 80 to be tied for 33rd.

Griffin Orzech is tied for 46th with a 14-over 86 and Jay Mundy is sitting in 63rd with a 36-over 108 on Monday.
