Nathan Williams closes with 1-under par to win City Golf Championship at Chattahoochee

Gainesville High graduate Nathan Williams fired a final-round 1-under par to capture the City Golf Championship on Sunday at the Chattahoochee Golf Club. He finished the three-day, 54-hole event with a score a 1-under par (215). Williams won by two strokes against Morgan Nix, who was 1 over for the weekend.

First-round leader Ryan Hogan carded a final-round 73 and finished third at 2-over par 218. Jackson Bishop earned fourth (220).

In the Championship B flight, Jim Foote carded a final-round 73 for a one-shot win (231) over Lee Rogers. Jason Chester finished third (233), and Brody Simmons took fourth (237).

Jason Chester won the Championship Flight net total with a 54-hole total of 212.

In the first flight, John Yarger carded a final-round 75 to win with a two-day total of 154, one shot ahead of Wil Hicks (155). Jay Jacobs earned third place (159).

In the second flight, Larry Lykins battled back from a nine-shot deficit after the first round to win with a two-day total of 155. On the final day, he finished 2 over par, earning a three-shot win over Greg Syfan (158).

John Wright and Zack Allgood tied for third place (161).

In the third flight, Sean Moore won with a 161, 13 shots ahead of Steve Hollis.

Jonathan Sisson won the third flight net division by a scorecard playoff against John Gilliam. Both players netted a 137.
