The Chatahoochee Ladies' and Men's Golf Associations played their Annual Guys and Dolls Tournament this week. The event was won by the team of Ann Hollobaugh, Denny Momper, Beulah Land and Nancy Negley.
Second place was taken by the team of Joe Kolesar, Susan Prather, Violet Reynolds and Sally Woo. Edwin E. Pledger, Gary Palmer, Peggy Hall and Nora Gleason took third place in the event.
Closest to the pin winners were Palmer (No. 3) and Carlyle Cox (No. 17).
CMGA: Cox, Clay Bartlett, Dick Bachaman, and Wayne Nelson won first place when the Chatahoochee Men's Golf Association played a two ball, aggregated net points game Wednesday at the Chatahoochee Golf Course.
The team of Paul Payne, Ed Pledger, Don Wells and Roy Bartlett tied for second with A.J. Kiker, Bill Hardman, Bill Sutton and Bob Watson.
Jere Cochran won closest to pin on both holes No. 3 and 5. Other winners were Bill Hardman (No. 12) and Momper (No. 17).
LUNA'S TUESDAY: The Luna's Tuesday golf group played at Chattahoochee this week.
First place was won by the team of Larry Cleek, Cleve Brown, Gene Weschler, and Johnny Nix. Second place went to the team of Doug Van, Stan Davidson Jr., Nelson Wright, and Larry Miller. Third place went to the team of Ken Chahoy, Bud Black, Tommy Lowery, and Jerry Johns.
Closest to the pin winners were Chahoy (No. 3), Cleek (No. 5 and 17), and Weschler (No. 12).
WEDNESDAY DOGFIGHT: A two best ball net match was played Wednesday at Chicopee Woods.
The team of Josh Armour, Bob Arendt, Roger Stapp and Darrell Pinner shot 21-under par to take first place.
Coming in second was the team of Duane Roberts, Jerry Horton, Don Schrum and Lou Vega, who were 17 strokes under par.
Pinner also scored the lowest individual net scores with a 64. Geoff Archibald came in second with a 67 and in third place was Vega with a 68.
DPG: The Dedicated Players Group played matches on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday this week at Chicopee Woods. Charley Kilby had a strong week, placing everyday and winning on Wednesday.
First place Monday was taken by Dave Jetter, followed by Kilby in second and Bob Kidd in third.
Coming in first on Wednesday was Kilby. There was a tie for second place between Dennis Jones and Doug Padgett.
Friday saw a win by Terrence Dale, a second place finish by Kidd, a third place finish by Miller, and a tie for fourth from Norm Phillips and Kilby.
