The Georgia Racing Hall of Fame will hold its Grand Re-Opening, at 8:30 a.m. Saturday in Dawsonville. The hall is being reopened after the Dawsonville History Museum, Inc. took over operations.

“We are so happy to have the chance to share this event with all our friends and family in the racing community,” Hall of Fame board chairman Gordon Pirkle said. “We’re very proud of the steps we’ve taken in the past year to move the Hall of Fame forward, and we want everyone to come out and see the improvements and changes we’ve made.”

The event begins with a pancake breakfast, and will feature a daylong car show, beginning at 9 a.m., with sign-in lasting until noon. A driver autograph session, with several members of the Hall of Fame, tours of the hall, and lunch served by the Dawsonville Pool Room will also be part of the festivities.

The event is free, but donations are welcome. For more information, visit www.georgiaracinghof.com or call 706-216-7223.
