Gainesville’s Emily House placed sixth recently at the US Powerlifting National Championships in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Lifting in the 72 kilogram class, House lifted 220 pounds on the bench press, squated 291 pounds and deadlifted 414. Her total of 925 was 49 more than in qualifying for the Nationals.
