Gainesville High graduate Spencer Ralston finished up a bogey-free final 65 to end tied for eighth in the Dogwood Invitational on Saturday at Druid Hills Golf Course in Atlanta.
Ralston, who will soon be playing at the University of Georgia, went 7 under during the final 18 holes.
He finished the four-round event at 12-under par 276. In the second and third round he carded a matching 71. His first round was a 3-under 69.
Ralston finished five shots back of Duluth’s Charles Huntzinger, who now plays at Penn State University.
On July 11, Ralston opens play at the Georgia Amateur Championship at the Capital City Club in Atlanta.
