Cagle, Kiddies win Royal Lakes Club Championship

Johnson High grad Jared Cagle eagled the final hole of the day to defeat brother Grant Cagle by two shots Sunday and win his second title at the Royal Lakes Club Championship in Flowery Branch.

Jared finished with a three-day total of 216 — 3-over for the tournament — after a final round 75. Grant nearly closed the gap with a final round 68 to finish with a 5-over 218. Bailey Ulp finished third with a three-day total of 221 after carding a 76 on Sunday.

Mary Beth Kiddies won her eighth women’s championship title with a two-round total of 175 after finishing with an 88 on the final day. Garnett Smith finished two strokes back after a final round 89.

Terri Chandler (75-74) finished with the low net, two-day score of the tournament.

In the blue division, Todd Redding (76-66) finished first, Eric Bohn (80-66) second and Josh McGee (73-74) third. In the white division Steve Blair (73-67) took top honors, Pat Smith (71-72) finished second and Bobby Jones (71-75) came in third. Don McEachin (70-81) won the second flight, Bill Baker (78-74) finished second and Bob Bauguss (71-82) third.

The gold division title went to Gordy Crenshaw (69-71), while Jack Kenney (67-74) finished second and Creighton Davies (73-69) third.

Lori McEachin (63-74) won the ladies red division and Pat Kilgore (74-77) finished second.
