North Georgia softball jumps from 12th to 4th in poll

The University of North Georgia softball team has climbed eight spots from to fourth in the first National Fastpitch Coaches Association poll of the season following an 11-2 start. Valdosta State University, the 2012 NCAA Division II national champion, remained atop the standings 14 first-place votes thanks to a 9-1 record. The Saints completed the weekend sweep in the UAH Charger Chillout this past weekend with a 5-0 record to improve to 11-2 with a pair of shutouts.
