The tenth-ranked North Georgia College & State University baseball team scored three runs in the ninth inning to earn a 4-2 win over the University of West Georgia on Tuesday at Cole Field in Carrollton.

Troy Snitker led off the ninth inning with a single and was then moved to second on a sacrifice bunt. Brad Hall drove in Snitker with a double, tieing the game at two. Dustin Carpenter singled to right and Alan Fredriksson followed with a sacrifice fly to give North Georgia (12-6) its first lead of the day. Jordan Erisman legged out an infield single later in the inning to send Carpenter home and give the Saints the 4-2 lead.

The Saints return to action over the weekend, traveling to Americus for a three-game set with Georgia Southwestern. The two teams are set to play a doubleheader on Saturday, followed by the series finale on Sunday afternoon.
