The 12th-ranked University of North Georgia softball team began its third early season tournament with a 6-4 victory against the University of West Alabama on Friday in Decatur, Ala. Tiffanie Burns sent one out of the park for the Saints (8-2) in the third inning to get the team rolling. Karlie Gillam then plated another three runs in the next inning when she blasted her own home run, this one to left-center field.
