Trinidad and Tobago native Jaimey Alleyne has signed a letter of intent to continue her education and soccer career at Brenau University this fall.

Alleyne began playing National Division with the Petrotrin Women’s Football Club in 2005 and also captained the under-17 team for three years.

In 2007-08, Alleyne trained with the Trinidad and Tobago National U-17 team and traveled to Maryland in Aug. of 2008 to train with the Calvert Soccer Club. She has played with the Centre For Excellence Academy since 2007.

Alleyne toured Suriname and played in an under-19 tournament in 2009 and trained with the National U-20 Suriname Women’s Team.

She is a defensive and attacking midfielder who is willing to play wherever the team needs her.

“Jaimey is another great addition to our porgram and will help solidify the central midfield position for our team,” coach Mike Lochstampfor said. “She can distribute the ball effectively or has the ability to go forward and score goals. I look forward to watching her contribute to our team this season.
