The Brenau Golden Tigers recorded one of the biggest wins in the program’s two-year history with a 65-64 victory over conference rival Auburn Montgomery on Friday night at the Brenau gym.
Brenau (10-8, 3-6 Southern States Athletic Conference) was led by Paige Cooper and Sarah Ledford, who each scored 14 points in the win. Lori Pope scored 12 points off the bench, and Vicky Wilson added 11 points for the Tigers.
Cooper sealed the win, hitting a free throw with 3.8 seconds remaining in the game.
The Tigers will play host to Brewton Parker College on Thursday.
