Chestatee boys basketball coach Kevin Strickland has accepted a head coaching job at Monroe Area High School and will be leaving Chestatee after three seasons with the War Eagles, according to an announcement from Chestatee athletic director Ben Corley.

During his time with the War Eagles, Strickland accumulated a record of 25-52.

“It has been an absolute honor to be the Head Coach at Chestatee High School," Strickland said in a statement. "I would like to thank our administration for allowing me to lead the War Eagle basketball program. We were able to make great strides during my tenure at CHS due to the commitment of my assistant coaches, our parents, and, most importantly, my players. I am forever grateful for the opportunity to have worked at Chestatee. I have become a better coach and person during my time here."
