Brenau's Black earns SSAC honor

Brenau University softball player Ellen Black was named Southern States Athletic Conference Softball Player of the Week by the conference on Monday.

Black, a freshman first baseman, hit three homers and had seven RBIs in four games last for NAIA’s 13th-ranked Tigers. She was also 3-for-5 with a double, two home runs and six RBIs last against Southern Wesleyan last Tuesday.

Brenau, which currently leads the SSAC, plays host to Shorter at 5 p.m. Wednesday at Lanier Point Softball Complex.
