The Brenau University tennis team continued its recent success with a 5-4 win against Division-II 10th-ranked Clayton State on Wednesday at the Smithgall Tennis Center in Gainesville.
The win is the Tigers’ second straight against Division-II opponents, after defeating Georgia College and State and State University 8-1 on Monday.
The Tigers (14-4, 4-2 SSAC) opened the match with wins in doubles by the team of Lyn See Choo and Hannah Thompson and the team of Jolene Wong and Paula Ghilardotti.
Ghilardotti, a senior, also won in singles, along with Thompson and Luba Orlova, whose 7-6 comeback tiebreaker victory secured the team win for Brenau.
Brenau visits Lee University at 2 p.m. Thursday.
