Hall returning to in-person school on hybrid schedule Jan. 19
Hall County Schools will return to an in-person hybrid schedule beginning Tuesday, Jan. 19, after the school system reported stabilizing COVID-19 numbers and “significantly” decreased student cases, Superintendent Will Schofield announced Thursday morning.

Brenau soccer takes down Top 25 opponent

The Brenau University soccer team shut out the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics No. 24-ranked Lindenwood 2-0 on Monday at the Allen Creek Soccer Complex in Gainesville.

The Lady Golden Tigers’ (2-1-1) junior goalkeeper Lisa Lesnick led the way with six saves to preserve the shutout.

Sophomore Tori Futrell picked up her third goal of the season, a free kick at the 20:18 mark of the first half.

Lily Futrell kicked her third goal of the year for Brenau completing scoring with 7:52 left in the game. Brenau outshot Lindenwood with 13-11 kicks overall and 9-6 shots on goal.

The Lady Golden Tigers’ play host to Savannah College of Art and Design on September 17.
