ATLANTA — The Atlanta Thrashers have agreed to terms with goaltender Kari Lehtonen, who was an restricted free agent.
Terms of the deal were not announced Wednesday.
The 24-year-old Lehtonen matched his career high with four shutouts and posted a 17-22-5 record last season. He had a 2.90 goals-against average and set a Thrashers record with his .916 save percentage.
Lehtonen, from Helsinki, Finland, has played in 158 games with the Thrashers, going 75-61-14 with 11 shutouts.
The Thrashers signed Lehtonen's backup, Johan Hedberg, to a two-year deal last month.
