Stecker signs with Falcons

 Former Saints running back Aaron Stecker has been signed by the Atlanta Falcons ahead of Monday night's game in New Orleans.

The Falcons were without fullback Ovie Mughelli and backup running back Jerious Norwood due to injuries in Sunday's loss at Dallas.

Stecker played nine seasons in the NFL, including five seasons with New Orleans from 2004-08.

The Falcons also placed rookie safety William Moore, a second-round pick from Missouri, on injured reserve with a hamstring injury.

Cornerback Glenn Sharpe was put on the practice squad-injured list safety Eric Brock was signed to the practice squad.
