Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Roddy White has been named the NFC Offensive Player of the Week after posting a season-high 201 yards and two touchdowns on 11 receptions in the Falcons’ 39-32 win over the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday in the Georgia Dome.
The Player of the Week honor is the first of White’s six-year NFL career and the third time an Atlanta player has been honored in the first seven weeks of the 2010 season.
White’s 201-yard total is the second most of his career and the second most in team history, trailing only his club record 210-yard day against the 49ers in 2009. In 2010, White has posted a league-leading 747 yards and 54 receptions with five touchdowns.
The Falcons are off this week, and will play host to Tampa Bay at 1 p.m. Nov. 7.
